SUNDAY SCHOOL

why did nobody ever explain to us little chitlins in sunday school what exactly we were singing about?

"Father Abraham, had many sons. And many sons haaaaad Faaaaaaather Abraham! I am one of them, and so are you (Wait, what?? what do you mean "i am one of them?" I am confused..) i know who my parents are. their names are, Mom and Dad. songs like this should be broken down and explained to a kid

  1. I think when we had that particular post-church debrief session re: abe and all his ka-jillions of kids (incl you and me, btw), you were scampering around on the roof looking for the next victim of your water pitcher. Because it was explained to us in depth, I can confirm this. And it was in hebrew by micaiah evan's dad, which makes it especially memorable to me.

  2. I never liked the thought of being in "The Lord's Army" because of the thought that I would have to "the shoot artillery". ??? What the heck that meant, I was not sure but due to the extreme isolation from all types of artillery in the Saxman house, I was, to say the least confused and concerned when forced to sing this song in sunday school.
